Photoshop Actions can save you time and increase your productivity by automating repetitive tasks. They can also be used for reproducing techniques and creating special effects that can be shared with other Photoshop users. An Action is the result of recording various steps while using Photoshop. The Action can then be played back to carry out those same steps.

Q. I bought Photoshop, so now what. What can I do with it?
A. There are several ways to learn how to use Photoshop:
My Actions are interactive tutorials that lead you through each step of the process, telling you what to do in order to achieve a certain end result, using your images, on your computer at your convenience. The advantage of using my actions over taking a class, reading a book or following a tutorial is that you can be productive right away, while you learn. My actions can be used in default mode or be adjusted each step of the way depending on your particular image and your desired end result. My actions are not one-click actions that only work on a small percent of images. You decide each step of the way what adjustments look best for that particular image. Many plugins have hundreds of possible adjustments depending on how you move the sliders, but initially you are starting with the original image without any idea what each slider does. My actions are designed to get you very close to the finished goal using all the default settings the first time around. Multiple non-destructive adjustment layers help you to fine tune the image at the end. Using my actions is like having a tutor sitting next to you, guiding you through each step of the way. |
